‘Done with Men’ is a light, short, delightful read.
It is a story of travel journalist Kairavi Krishna who is dealing with a recent breakup in the background of a long past of failed relationships. In hope of diverting her attention off the breakup, her friend and flat-mate, Baani, arranges an official trip to Goa.
I received the e-book from author. I am sorry but no matter how much I try I cannot provide much of a positive response. I read the book (somehow) and here is my review.
Considering it was a self-published book, and first attempt at that I would start by saying that this review is not to discourage or disrespect the author.
At first I was pretty excited to read the book since superhero stuff has always fascinated me. Also, the blurb had my expectations raised. However, I don’t think that actual book was anywhere up to my anticipations.
First of all, the name ‘faceless’ could have been a great name, if it was significant to the story in any way
“Wings of Courage” as the name suggests is a story about courage. Whose courage? Yours and mine if we really decide to juice out something from it, beautifully portrayed through the protagonist Saksham. The story is about Saksham, a fairly rich boy, just when he was about to finish his graduation, undergoes a series of incidents and finds himself struggling between his love life, his career, and the socio-political condition of India.
I would like to award this book with four stars out of five. The topic chosen by the author is a critical topic that can only be dealt with care and compassion. The story is about Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters, both victims of different kinds of cancers. The main story starts off when Hazel Grace finds a blue-eyed boy staring her throughout a Cancer Support group in the literal heart of Jesus.
The story takes place in the Broken Empire and focuses on the adventures of Prince Jalan, a self-proclaimed liar, womanizer, coward and cheat, along with his companion Snorri Ver Snaggason. Who says courage is needed to be a hero?
Inspired by his father’s previous illegitimate profession, Joe Riley starts off earning his pocket money in a rough and tumble neighbourhood of Glebe. He gambles on Billycart races and sells farm fresh eggs from his uncle’s chook farm.
His real struggle, however, starts when his family sends him off to St. Bartholomew’s Catholic boarding school.
